At A&E Construction, our professional building team strives to make the home designing and building process fun and exciting! We operate under the philosophy that everyone deserves a home that reflects his or her own lifestyle. Since the remodeling process is often new or a bit confusing, we have outlined our remodeling steps from the initial call, through the design phase, to completion below.

Here's what A&E Construction will do for you:

First Consultation

• Discuss with you (by phone or email) the scope of work, time frame and budget for the proposed remodeling project.
• Schedule a site visit

Site Visit

• Provide written proof of proper NJ licensing & insurance.
• Provide referrals & portfolio of pictures from past completed work
• Assess & measure your home & property to determine feasibility of the proposed renovation
• Establish project requirements and discuss client hopes & expectations for the planned home improvement
• Supply a date when a written proposal will be provided for the intended project.

Proposal Delivery

• Provide a written proposal with clear & specific details outlining the work to be completed, materials to be used and the total cost of the renovation
• Provide drawings or sketches of the proposed renovations (if applicable)
• Provide a time frame for the proposed project including a project start and completion dated
• Answer any questions regarding the proposal or proposed project and modify the plan should any additions or deletions be required to the scope of work.

Proposal Acceptance

• Provide a written contract with clear & specific details outlining the work to be completed, materials to be used and the total cost of the renovation
• Provide a written and balanced payment schedule indicating when payments are to be made based on work accomplished
• Complete, submit, manage and schedule all required building permits and inspections required by the Stat*e of NJ for your renovation

Project Begins

• On the first day, conduct a site meeting with the client and Project Manager/Lead Carpenter to establish site communication, procedures and required coordination
• Provide a detailed written schedule of all phases of work to be performed and time frame for completion
• Perform & manage all construction in a systematic order so the renovation is completed in a proficient manner while maintaining a high level of production and quality of work
• Ensure the project is maintained in a clean & safe condition during the entire duration of the renovation

Walk Through

• Schedule client meetings at different stages throughout the project to maintain good communication and to ensure project details & expectations are being met

Job Completion

• Complete and pass all required NJ Building Code Inspections
• Review the completed project with the client to ensure all contracted work was properly accomplished and meets their expectations.
